Offline mode

Mobile only (Professional). View your cached jobs with no signal; your data refreshes automatically once you're back online.

Offline mode is a Professional feature on the mobile app. The web app at app.mour.app is always online — offline doesn't apply there.

What works offline

Offline mode is view-only. With no signal you can:

  • See today's and tomorrow's jobs — whatever was cached on your last sync.
  • Read the cached details on those jobs: the services on them, the client name, and the address.

What doesn't work offline

  • Completing a job or setting its services done or skipped — that needs a connection.
  • Capturing photos — adding photos to a job needs a connection.
  • Writing notes on a job — that needs a connection.
  • Jobs beyond tomorrow, and the Upcoming, Deferred, and Overdue tabs.
  • Deferring, cancelling, or rescheduling a job — these need a connection so Mour can check the new slot against your schedule.
  • Browsing your client list, service catalog, or service prices — the client name and address on a cached job stay visible, but the full records need the network.
  • Creating a new client with a new address (address lookup needs the network).
  • Sending SMS or email notifications.
  • Running route optimization.
  • Viewing the map view.

If you try one of these offline, the app shows a "needs network" message. Do the action once you're back on signal.

Staying up to date

On first launch with a connection, the mobile app caches your data so today's and tomorrow's jobs are available to view offline. After that, the app keeps your cached jobs current automatically — it refreshes in the background while you work, the moment your signal comes back, and whenever you reopen the app. Updates are quick because only what changed is fetched.

Always the latest version

Because offline mode only shows you cached jobs, there's nothing to reconcile when you reconnect — you simply see the most up-to-date version of every job.

When sync seems stuck

If you're online and the inbox isn't refreshing:

  1. Pull-to-refresh the inbox.
  2. Check the sync indicator near the top of the inbox.
  3. If still stuck, go to Settings and tap Force sync.
  4. If still stuck after that, restart the app.

Persistent sync failures are bugs we want to know about — email founder@mour.app with what you're seeing.

Storage

The local cache is small — typically a few megabytes. It holds the cached view of today's and tomorrow's jobs and refreshes on each sync.

Battery

Sync is light. Mour doesn't run a background location service or anything battery-heavy.
