Creating your first job

One-off jobs and recurring jobs. Status transitions, the inbox, and completion.

A job is a scheduled visit to a client's address to perform one or more services. Jobs are the central thing Mour helps you manage.

Creating a one-off job

From the inbox, tap Schedule Job. Pick:

  • Client + address — if the client has multiple addresses (Professional), pick which.
  • Service(s) — one or more from the services pinned to that address.
  • Date and time — Mour checks the slot against your working hours and existing jobs. If it clashes, the app flags it and offers the next free slot.
  • Estimated duration — defaulted from the service; override per job.

Tap Schedule. The job appears in your inbox under its date.

Recurring jobs

For work that repeats — weekly mowing, bi-weekly cleaning, quarterly pest treatment — set the recurrence at the address → service level, not the job level. Available on every tier.

Open the client → address → tap the service → toggle Recurring. Pick daily, weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, or a custom cadence. Set an optional start and end date.

When you complete a recurring job, Mour automatically schedules the next occurrence forward, respecting your working hours and time-off periods.

If the next date already has a visit booked at that same address — say, you'd manually added a one-off cleanup for the same day — Mour adds the recurring service to that existing visit instead of stacking two trips on top of each other. You get a push notification when this happens so you know what's on the truck.

The inbox

The inbox has four tabs:

  • Today — today's jobs. Reorderable by drag-and-drop. After route optimization (Professional), cards are numbered and show ETAs.
  • Upcoming — the next several days.
  • Deferred — jobs you punted to "decide later."
  • Overdue — jobs whose scheduled date passed without completion. You decide whether to reschedule, defer, cancel, or complete.

Completing a job

Two ways:

  • Fast path — on the job card in Today, tap Complete. A dialog lets you mark each service Done or Skip, add a completion note, confirm. Useful when you're standing in the driveway.
  • Full path — tap the card to open the job, attach photos from the Photos section, write a longer note, then tap Complete.

Mark each service as Done or Skip with an optional note. Photos are optional; you control when a job needs them.

Status

Jobs move through Scheduled, In Progress, Completed, Rescheduled, Cancelled, or Deferred. Statuses only move forward — a completed job stays completed — so your history is always a true record of what actually happened.

Rescheduling

From a job card, tap Reschedule. Pick a new date and time. Mour checks conflicts against your working hours and time-off; if there's a conflict it tells you inline so you can pick a different slot.
